Psychotherapist (LPC-(IT) – In Training)
Job details: Contract/part-time/full-time
Primary responsibilities:

Plans treatment based on the individual client's needs and resources available from the organization and community resources.

Works in coordination with professionals involved in patient care to ensure interdisciplinary collaboration and continuity of services.

Keeps current knowledge of community resources for additional treatment of clients and makes referrals that adequately and appropriately utilize these resources. Is available for consultation with other staff regarding community resources.

Provides a short- and long-term psychotherapy continuum to individuals, couples, families, and groups, based on individualized treatment plans.

Maintains good communication and collaborative relationships with referring physicians and other staff and recommends additional patient referrals as needed.

Carries out ongoing record-keeping and case review of all psychotherapy work in compliance with state guidelines.

Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

Provides assessment (by telephone and in-person) of suicidal and homicidal risk and immediacy of crises.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Education: Master's degree in Behavioral Health or related field
Experience:

No experience is required.

LPC or LCSW
Physical requirements:
-
Frequent reaching, sitting, standing, and walking.
-
Regular vision and depth perception are used for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more).

Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.

Regular keyboard use/data entry.

Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.

Occasional use of vision to identify and distinguish colors.

Occasional driving.
