Job Description

Are you a dedicated clinician looking to make a difference in the lives of children and families? Miracle Counseling is looking for an experienced Psychotherapist to conduct psychosocial and mental status evaluations. You will establish DSM-5 diagnoses and design intervention plans to improve patients' adaptations to life stressors. This role involves high-level clinical work under the consultation of our psychiatric team.

 

Core Responsibilities

• Evaluation & Diagnosis: Conduct clinical interviews and examinations of children and families to establish accurate DSM-5 diagnoses and case formulations.

• Intervention: Design and implement evidence-based treatments to improve psychological and emotional adaptation.

• Education: Provide expert consultation and education to clinic staff, trainees, and the Milwaukee community.

• Team Integration: Participate in staff meetings and collaborative reviews to ensure a strong, unified team approach.

 

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s Degree from an accredited school of Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.

• Experience: Minimum of 3,000 hours of post-master’s supervised psychotherapy experience.

• Specialization: At least three years of experience in a mental health facility specifically working with children and families.

• Technical Skills: Deep understanding of psychodiagnostics, developmental psychology, personality theory, and behavior modification.

• Licensure: Current Wisconsin licensure (LCSW, LMFT, or LPC) with a commitment to continuing education requirements.
